Floyd’s General Store in Ether, NC was a great place and full of memories for many people. I can remember when I was a little girl going with my grandpa to Floyd’s store and I was always interested in the many different things that they sold there, but of course one of my favorite things to look at was the candy. Sometimes when my sister and I would go with Grandpa to Floyd’s store he would get us some type of candy before we left. Floyd’s General Store was established in 1910 by Walter Claudie Floyd, the store may be closed down now, but it still holds many good memories.
